Application of the principles of crop and weed management, whether in the classroom or through extension activities, is a vital part of maintaining a robust agricultural economy. Web-based decision aids have the ability to present this management information in a timely manner. SoyVar is a Web-based application that provides information about soybean varieties commonly grown in North Carolina in an on-line searchable database. WebHADSS can help with postemergence weed management decision-making. Currently, North Carolina (corn, soybean, and peanut) and Ontario, Canada (corn and soybean) databases are available to anyone. Versions for a number of other locations are undergoing testing and are available to those with the correct password. Program development and testing have involved weed scientists from across the South.
