Ice Cream Social - The NCSU Crop Science Department was invited to participate in the the Student Agronomy Club Ice Cream Social March 21, 2006
Crop Science students and staff attended the afternoon gathering to enjoy NCSU Food Science's ice cream. The social offered an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff, to interact in a non-classroom environment.
"It was one of the largest gatherings I can remember" said Gail Wilkerson of the event. "In the past, it has been difficult to attend events scheduled in the mornings, afternoons, and weekends-no matter how hard you try there is often a conflict. By having a brief social in the afternoon, attendance really soared. It gives students a chance to meet people in the department they might not otherwise cross paths with."
Agronomy Student Club Members were on hand to set up and break down the ice cream and toppings under the guidance of club advisor Jan Spears.
