Classrooms in Williams Hall have been renovated during the past two years and most are equipped with multimedia computers and mounted projector screens. Several classrooms have internet connections. Capacities range from seating for 30 to 218 students. Three small and one large conference room are available for discussion sessions and seminars.

Laboratory exercises for departmental classes are conducted in dry laboratories where tables are available for students to work. Several graduate classes are conducted in research laboratories where equipment for experiments is available. Greenhouse facilities, turfgrass field plots, and crop field plots are used for hands-on experiments to enrich the academic environment. Renovation of laboratory space for the turfgrass program has been completed whereby students have access to auto-tutorial facilities and plant specimens for study.

Computers are available for student use in a college-wide computer laboratory located in Williams Hall. Computers have also been placed into the Agronomy Club room for their use and most graduate students have access to computers at their desks and in laboratories. A state-of-the-art GIS laboratory is co-sponsored by the Crop and Soil Science Departments to teach geo-positioning and precision agriculture classes.

Graduate education is conducted in faculty research laboratories. Because of the wide range of research activities in plant physiology, computer modeling, chemistry, seed physiology, molecular genetics and plant breeding, equipment and facilities are available to complete an extremely wide range of projects.
